We invite you to join us for Stillpoint; a collaboration between Bettina Rothe, Michael Oliver from The Flying Sage and Mike Reed from Sound Quest. Step into the enchanting embrace of the Winter Solstice, a time of deep stillness and unity consciousness. On December 22nd, we will reconnect with the sacred rhythms of the cosmos as we find ourselves at the Stillpoint of the year. We invite you to embark on this profound journey of inner reflection and renewal.
The evening begins with a guided meditation, a voyage into the heart of the season, where you'll explore the wisdom of the solstice and its significance in various cultures throughout history. As we delve into the meditation, we'll collectively embrace the quiet, contemplative spirit of the solstice, allowing it to illuminate our inner world. And then, we will connect with each other through a simple dyad practice.
Following the dyad practice, you will be guided into conscious dance and embodiment. Guided by the rhythm of life itself, we'll move our bodies, merging our spirits into a state of unity consciousness to explore what is present for each of us. The dance is a symbolic expression of the returning light, a dance of rebirth, and a celebration of our connection to the cycles of the universe.
This journey of stillness culminates in a soul-soothing sound bath. Allow the harmonious resonance of healing sounds to wash over you, clearing away what no longer serves, and creating space for deep rest. This meditative experience is designed to nourish, leaving you refreshed and ready to embrace the return of the sun during this powerful transition.

Your Facilitators
Bettina Rothe
Bettina is passionate about bringing community together to co-create sacred space in which she invites conscious embodiment and heart centred intimacy. As a somatic coach and licensed 5Rhythms® dance teacher, she draws from a variety of healing movement arts, psychology, meditation, and shamanic practices. She has been teaching workshops internationally since 1998 and lives in Vancouver, BC.
Michael Oliver
Michael Oliver is a community builder and psychedelic facilitator based in Vancouver BC. Since graduating with a degree in Cognitive Systems from UBC, Michael worked in the psychedelic space for 3 years as the Volunteer Coordinator and Executive Assistant for MAPS Canada. During this time, Michael founded The Flying Sage, a psychedelic community and apparel brand on a mission to democratize transcendence. Additionally, Michael serves as a guide through his own practice Legacy Journeys where he offers transformative psychedelic experiences towards embodiment and lasting change.
Mike Reed
Mike Reed is a musician & sound healing practitioner, and the creator of Sound Quest and Sound Quest Academy. His love of drumming and percussion led Mike to study at the Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles, and played in several musical acts in the past. Over the last several years he has studied counseling, personal development, life coaching, and has completed a Shamanic apprenticeship. Mike has now lead sound healing sessions for thousands of people locally and internationally. His ongoing journey of self-improvement and exploration of personal development methods has allowed him to synthesize his musicianship and spiritual practice to hold a space of healing and relaxation.
