About This Event: Psilacetin (4-ACO) Breathwork

Welcome to another Psilacetin (4-ACO DMT) Breathwork Ceremony facilitated by Gabo & Kaan. Back by popular demand, we will be offering these ceremonies every Thursday evening at the Stretch Space. This breathwork will be a gentle experience weaving storytelling, meditation and rhythm to create a safe container for you to explore the deep wisdom that your body has within it. For those that would like an additional flare to their experience, there will be microdoses of psilacetin available.

What is Psilacetin (or 4-ACO DMT)?

4-ACO-DMT (also known as Psilacetin) is a safe and legal compound that induces effects closely resembling those of the classical psychedelic, psilocybin (AKA Magic Mushrooms). Upon ingestion, 4-ACO-DMT metabolizes into Psilocin in the body, producing effects that can last for up to 7 hours. Numerous reports have favored 4-ACO-DMT, citing its euphoric, gentle, warm, and colorful effects. It is also less likely to cause nausea due to its lower material consumption. 4-ACO is an unregulated substance in Canada.

For those that would like to dose with 4-ACO DMT, a microdose of 4mg will be available which is completely optional. If you would like, you can also order your own medicine here through Dose Osmosis who are kindly sponsoring these events. The breathwork will be an experience in of itself and the psilacetin is there to heighten the experience if desired. If you would like to learn more about psilacetin, please visit DoubleBlind, The Third Wave or Erowid.

SAFETY

Nothing here is intended as medical advice. 4AcO-DMT is a very safe tryptamine but it’s still important to be mindful of a few things. If you are someone sensitive to substances and psychedelics in general, we encourage sticking with one capsule and avoid driving to and from the event. We encourage you to be on an empty stomach for this event. As with any nootropic/psychedelic, 4-ACO should be avoided by pregnant or breastfeeding women or anyone prone to seizures, heart problems, blood pressure problems, or mental health issues like severe anxiety.

About Your Facilitators:

Kaan Akkaya

Kaan was born in Turkey and lived in the UAE for 10 years before moving to Vancouver. His spiritual journey began in his late teens when he started practicing yoga, meditation and participating in plant medicine ceremonies. Kaan explores altered states of consciousness in a mindful manner and advocates for respect and reverance for the medicines. He has always loved movement; having trained in gymnastics since the age of 5, to playing competitive sports and practicing calisthenics, he puts a large emphasis on movement as it relates to breath and trauma stored in the body. Kaan has his 200 hour YTT and completed the Trauma Informed Somatic Breathwork Course by Tim Morrison. In his approach, he has been inspired by John Sutherland's Adaptive Bodywork and his teachings on active pain relief and human structural integration. Kaan's main aim is to explore the connection between mindful movement, the breath and trauma in conscious settings.

Gabriel Largaespada

Gabriel is a movement coach at Restore Human in Vancouver, was born and raised in Nicaragua and has always had an affinity for the realm of the physical, the psychological and the spiritual. Gabo’s connection to the spiritual realm was initiated through psychedelic medicines, meditation and breath work practices. He’s guided group meditations, facilitated healing events and now aims to continue furthering his passion for helping people through a modality that he finds incredibly powerful, psychedelic medicines. Gabriel is a Community Leader with The Flying Sage and has facilitated many integration circles as one of the organization's core team members.
