Stillpoint: A Soulful Winter Solstice Celebration

  • St. James Community Square 3214 West 10th Avenue Vancouver, BC, V6K 2L2 Canada (map)

About This Event:

We invite you to join us for Stillpoint; a curated evening of meditation, dance and sound.

Step into the enchanting embrace of the Winter Solstice, a time of deep stillness and unity consciousness. On December 19th, we will reconnect with the sacred rhythms of the cosmos as we find ourselves at the Stillpoint of the year.

This event is produced in partnership with Bettina Rothe and The Flying Sage and we are grateful to have Kanna Garden partnering with us for this event. They will be kindly providing optional microdoses of Kanna to accompany your experience. While Bettina will not be present at this event in-person, she will be supporting it’s production and vision.

The evening begins with a brief guided meditation where we will collectively embrace the quiet, contemplative spirit of the solstice, allowing it to illuminate our inner world.

After this, we will transition to a guided dyad practice where we will all have the opportunity to connect more deeply with one another in shared space. A dyad is the simple exercise of pairing up with someone else and offering your presence as you alternate between different question prompts. It is a simple, yet powerful way to illuminate ourselves and one another.

Following the dyad practice, you will be guided into conscious dance and embodiment with MC Shakti (Micaela Caron). Guided by the rhythm of life itself, we'll move our bodies and explore what is present for each of us. The dance is a symbolic expression of the returning light, a dance of rebirth, and a celebration of our connection to the cycles of the universe.

This journey of stillness culminates in a soul-soothing sound healing journey courtesy of Chase Trellert from Medicine of Sound. Allow the harmonious resonance of healing sounds to wash over you, clearing away what no longer serves, and creating space for deep rest. This meditative experience is designed to nourish, leaving you refreshed and ready to embrace the return of the sun during this powerful transition.

Join us for this this soulful winter solstice celebration, a night of connection, stillness and expansion together in community.
